That’s right, folks, Xtreme Boot Camp is coming to Asheville starting April 6. Sure, you can sign up for one of those new gyms with pastel colors on the wall and names like “Push.” You might participate in some feel-good “Lighten Up” series of jogs around the block.

Or you can join Xtreme Boot Camp/Asheville. It’s a four-day-a-week program usually set outside in a park that’s aimed at getting you exercising and in shape. There’s no deranged drill sergeant threatening to unscrew your head and do something vile to your neck. But there are trained specialists who will help you exercise, eat right and reach your goals.

Asheville’s boot camp starts April 6 – that’s Monday. It will meet at 336 Hilliard Avenue, which is Aston Park.

Check out the web to get all your questions answered (yes, they train in the rain). The cost is $299 for the full four week training class – you get homework, a diet journal, sample meal plans. That sounds like a good deal.

And special for Ashvegas readers: use coupon code “ASHVEGAS” when you sign up, and you’ll get $40 off the class that starts Monday.

We’re deep into the new year. Renew your resolution to get fit. Go for it.

Special thanks to loyal reader Tara for connecting Ashvegas with Xtreme Boot Camp.
