WLOSer and diva Darcel Grimes has joined the Twitter nation. I’m not sure how many other WLOSers are doing the Twitter thing (Larry?), but Darcel is certainly the most high-profile local television personality tweeting away.

If you take a close look at Darcel’s page, you’ll see that she’s snatched a photo I shot of her and used it for her profile photo. Darcel, that’s not cool. (Here’s my original photo.) You need to ask my permission to make any use of my photos; at the least, give me credit.

Here’s a sample of Darcel’s recent tweets:

  1. Tonight at 11…disbelief gives way to anger over Richmond Hill fire.
  2. Time to put on makeup. Don’t want to scare viewers away.
  3. Daisies for the ladies. Some realtors give away flowers on this first day of Spring.
  4. It’s Friday and I’m ready for the weekend. How about you?
  5. Arson dogs are on the scene of the Richmond Hill Inn Fire. What they found in the rubble coming up on News 13 at 5 and 6.
  6. Greenville grocery store owner attacked. More on News 13 at 5.
  7. I missed grey’s anatomy and forgot to tivo it. Shame ….shame

Go here to see Darcel’s Twitter page. Who else locally is on Twitter that we need to know about?

Wow. I never thought I could less about something as much as I do about what Darcel Grimes is doing at every hour of the day…

If this is the future of communication/journalism, God save us all.

What’s most important is that you can see where she sent two tweets my way in your screen capture.
