Here’s the press release.
An Asheville Citizen-Times news story today by Mark Barrett says each condo is being priced at between $2.1 million and $2.6 million.
ASHEVILLE, NC – North Market Street Investments (NMSI) today announced the 73 North Market Street condominiums that are designed for conscientious fine living. The facility is taking “eco-friendly” to the next level with the world’s first residential parking structure designed to exclusively house the environmentally-conscientious smart® fortwovehicle. This is the first parking structure ever conceived that will only accommodate one make and model car and no other. The thirteen-story, ten-unitcondo will be the most sophisticated available in the Blue Ridge Mountain city of Asheville, which was named one of the top seven places to live in the U.S. by Frommer’s Cities.
“There is truly nothing like this in Asheville today,” said Jeremy Goldstein, managing member, North Market Street Investments. “73 North Market is designed for people looking to live a conscientious, uncompromised life. There was an unfilled need in the Asheville area for the most discerning buyers. Our goal is to create a feature-rich building in the heart of downtown Asheville that will maximize the use of green building principles for a more sustainable lifestyle. With the introduction of the world’s first exclusive smart fortwo garage, we are pioneering another branch of the sustainable movement.”
The residences offer many upscale amenities, including a smart vehicle, green rooftop lounge, private spa, fitness center with endless lap pool, private terraces and a separate guest residence that can be used for overnight visitors. Each of the ten, 2,300-square-foot residences will have an entire floor of the building, and for privacy and convenience, the building features an elevator that opens directly into an owner’s residence. Asheville-based design-build firm Siegman Associates, Inc., in partnership with Michael Silverman, AIA, is handling the building design and construction management. Subcontractors and craftsmen working on the project are locally based.
…and just because they are on the market doesn’t mean they will sell.
I can only imagine the creatures that might inhabit such.
More pretentious folks from other places calling Asheville home. Just more fodder for the human zoo.
How interesting the 2300sqft living space is sustainable, unless of course there are more than two people occupying the space.
Hey the rich are not hurting the middle class is hurting. The rich did lose some but they still have lots.
