From Frank to Sandy:
Hey sandy! You’re right! Local Obama volunteers should get together to talk about what’s next here in WNC. I mean the "what’s next" before Obama/Biden `12. Contact Ash for my private e-mail. He’ll hand it over and we’ll get it going.
Great to see that Frank was out and about for what turned out to be one of the most worthwhile and winning causes in American history. Mr. Kracher not only talked the talk, but walked the walk. Frank has clearly proven he has the energy, focus and determination to help convince local voters to be hopeful, to take a risk and to do the right thing. Dare I say he is an effective "community organizer"? Governor Palin would not like that! We all know he is also an effective communicator. So off with the beard and back to the WLOS anchor desk is my vote for `09. Or maybe he will take a run at that open Asheville City Council seat. From what I know about him though, Frank is way too smart for that.
I have to agree with Frank. This has been an amazing 16 weeks. Now I’m trying to figure out how we can maintain that level of collective involvement- there is just so much to get done now that shrub and his cadre of malfeasance have been put on notice. (And I’m trying to figure out how to pay my electric bill since I kept giving to the Obama campaign…but that’s another story). Thanks for telling us about Frank. Kind of feel like the volunteers should get together- this was the coolest experience (political and otherwise) that I’ve ever experienced.
Hey judgeyall! No. As much as I enjoyed my "long, strange trip" to Upstate New York, the mountains of Western North Carolina are home from here on out. A shout-out to The Orange, though. Enjoyed some kick-ass college basketball way up north! Thanks for asking.
Thanks for sharing that, Ash! In looking back through my calendar, though, just realized I started thinking about getting involved 16 weeks ago. Actually pulled-the-trigger more like 12 weeks ago. My bad, but still a good, long volunteer run! Obama/Biden `12
FRANK! Are you headed back to NY?!
