I think these lyrics, sung by Gretchen Wilson last night, sum it all up:
"Where nothing else makes sense
But to party, party, party,
party, party, party, party
Til’ all my moneys spent"
The Palin rally was the most poorly organized, worst run event I have ever been to. The protesting zombies outside afterwards spoke with more sincerity and substance than anyone on the stage that night. I like Palin’s jeans, though.
dempol: you rock
I’m getting ready to slap some of these short bus riding Republicans any minute. They are so blinded by faith, food, their SUV, or FOX news that they can’t tell which is which, Bush or McCain. Maybe the McCain/Palin supporters need to pee into a fan every now and then to wake up and see the truth behind their ticket.
No it’s not, Blub. Did you also notice how many were obese and bleached blonde? Did you also spot as many out-of-state license plates as I did? Not only was it not America, it wasn’t even Asheville. I hope these people are about to as disappointed November 4th as they were blindly excited last night! I think this whole crazy election may actually get me to pray for once in my life. Oh wait, that’s what they do to try to make things happen. I guess I’ll simply just continue to work to mobilize Democrats and Independents to not skip voting on Election Day. Amen.
Here’s my impression: a sea of white people. My son and I walked the whole area of people in line to see Palin and not a single minority in the group, and there were thousands in line. Not one. Is that really America?
I totally became a part of it even though I hadnt planned it. Its on camera…. groan.
The shouting got intense, and I guess I just went with it.
groan.
