Spotted: Kracher, Christmas trees and crack-ups

Here’s some of what I’ve spotted lately:

– A comment on my blog by someone who spotted former WLOSer Frank Kracher at Brewgrass on Saturday. Anybody get a picture? I’m sorry I missed him. Kracher was one of the most liked WLOSers in recent memory. Remember — this guy almost died after a nasty fall up in Syracuse, where he works.

 – A Christmas tree display going up at Lowe’s. That’s right — they’re putting up the Christmas trees, complete with decorations, at Lowe’s, and we’re six weeks away from Halloween, for Pete’s sake. 

– A report on WLOS about fights breaking out at the Hess station on Hendersonville Road. Several people have told me that the Hess station has been a hotbed of bad tempers and line-cutting as people wait in long lines for scarce gasoline.
