Here’s the story from Pitchfork Media:

Last time we checked in with Smashing Pumpkins, it was because the band was ushering us into the future. Now, the Corgan crew is revisiting the past with the release of a DVD called If All Goes Wrong.

If All Goes Wrong is a double-disc affair. The first disc features the titular documentary, which chronicles the band’s reunion and live residencies in San Francisco and Asheville, North Carolina last year through interviews with band members, fans, journalists, and other musicians. Also on the disc: a featurette about Pumpkins fans called Voices of the Ghost Children and, inexplicably, an interview with the Who’s Pete Townshend.

The second disc of If All Goes Wrongfeatures The Fillmore Residency, a collection of live performances from the band’s residency in San Francisco. Also included are five bonus tracks lumped together as Live From the Floor of the Fillmore, which are just that. All told, the second disc of the DVD contains seven different exclusive new tracks.

Coming Home Media
will release If All Goes Wrong on November 11.

Here’s another take, from 411mania.com, which notes that Smashing Pumpkins is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Billboard has this:

Fans will get a behind-the-scenes look at the early days of the Smashing Pumpkins reunion on the mammoth DVD “If All Goes Wrong,” due Nov. 11 via Coming Home Media.

A documentary of the same name chronicles the Pumpkins’ residencies in Asheville, N.C., and San Francisco in the summer of 2007, the Billy Corgan-led band’s first shows in seven years. Among the bonus features are an interview with the Who’s Pete Townshend and a segment on hardcore Pumpkins fans.

“We went into the residencies hopeful to play some new music, with the idea I would write during the day and we could maybe even play new songs that same night,” says Corgan. “What I didn’t anticipate is how much the process would inspire me, positively and negatively, to report what I was seeing and feeling from the shows.”

I’m pretty excited about this, but kind of disappointed Asheville performances wont be part of it. They were filming the shows every night it seemed. I guess it wasn’t enough of a production at the OP to be included.
