What’s next for basement of the Jackson Building: Sugar Mama’s cookies

Word on the street is that Sugar Mama’s Cookies will move into the Jackson Building space recently vacated by Sisters McMullen. The space is a dark little hole in the bottom of the building on Pack Square, right next door to the Fire Department.

In other downtown action, I see that a construction crew has started tearing down the former Asheville Chamber of Commerce Building on Haywood Street. The ever-present zen has photos here. As he notes, this location is being developed into a new boutique hotel, The Indigo.
