We were on the streets early this morning and flipped over to 99.9 KISS Country, where we were surprised to hear a new morning personality. We listened for a bit, and heard Eddie Foxx introduce himself.

Foxx said he’s a Franklin boy who has moved in and out of Western North Carolina a couple of times. He sounded genuinely glad to be back in the mountains. And he actually sounded like a local. The two most recent dunces, Drew and Chuck, did not sound like they were WNC natives, and their morning show was moronic, repetitive and just plain lame.

We’re looking forward to better from Foxx. The local newspaper has a short post up about the change. It notes that Foxx, who worked at Kiss Country for about five years in the 1990s, was last heard on the station in 1999. Foxx will be teamed with a new on-air partner in coming weeks, according to that story.
