Some 300-plus people showed up at Dickson Elementary School Sunday afternoon for a concert to raise money for a new school playground being built in honor of Seth Olson, a former kindergarten teacher who died two years ago at age 22. More than a dozen local musicians, including Billy Jonas and Mad Tea Party and the Embe Marimba Band and Jim Taylor, came out to play for the cause.

There was a good vibe in the room as the liberals and hippies and their crotchlings jammed along with the local musicians on stage. All the money went to a good cause – the construction of new playground.

Sorry I missed you. We intended to come but were too damn tired and sore from skiing in WV. Thx for covering the gig. River is awesome isn’t he?
