Big news from the Beer Guy:

This is good news on the morning after the election. Highland Brewing has started production of its wildly popular Cold Mountain Winter Ale. But here’s the twist – they’e making it at the old Highland downtown plant on Biltmore Avenue, rather than the new brewery in east Ashevlile.
Highland has faced some delays in getting the new place running. Next week, they’re expecting to actually run a test brew out there. The bottling machine has been moved to the new site and the brewery is almost ready to go. But time was running short to get Cold Mountain going. And so Highland honchos Oscar Wong and John Lyda made they call and started work on this year’s batch at the old plant.

The Beer Guy says to look for the brew in mid-December. Whew. A winter without Cold Mountain would be like Christmas without Santa.
