Highland Brewing Co. of Ashvegas has gotten a late start with the batch because it’s been busy building and moving into a new location just east of town, the Beer Guy reports. Don’t expect it before December. The Beer Guy offers up this warning:

FYI: There’s already a long waiting list for Cold Mountain at the Asheville Wine Market.
Last year, every bottle was pre-sold before it was even delivered to the Wine Market. Demand was also high at the few other local stores that actually get some (including the Winehaus and the Fresh Market). I’ve already signed up to buy two cases.

The past couple of years, Cold Mountain has ranked as the best beer brewed in Ashvegas, and the most sought-after. So get on a waiting list, or snatch it when you see it.

I had a nice Hacker-Pschorr beer from Germany at Sarasota’s Octoberfest. Did you ever have it when you were in Germany?

Thanks for the update. Think I better get down to the Wine Market. Incidentally, I like the Cold Mt. better than the Imperial Gaelic. But the Gaelic will make nice Xmas giftees!
