   No, I live on Starnes in general. You can hear I-240, but being an alcoholic, it works well for navigating downtown-

   There about 7/8 spots left in Battery Park, mostly the higher price units. Over 120 condos are pending right now in Asheville, and some really neat ones have just been put on the market because of the Fall season. The skyline is going to be changing, though.. which brings mixed emotions. I love the fact that Asheville is not a ghost town anymore, however like any change, I get nervous. Its better than urban sprawl though.. like poor Fairview.

   Demand is high for downtown units but they need to be MORE AFFORDABLE!! I dont think that people who can throw a half of mil down on a condo should be the only ones able to live downtown. We should see stuff in the low to mid 100K in the next year or so. Small but awesome.

   i can tell, pano. but i thought the asheville condo market was cooling. the battery park condos don’t seem to be selling quickly. and like you said, there are several more projects in the works. how many condos can ashvegas handle?

   jody, were lookiing to buy this house? 560k seems outrageous to me for a house in a neighborhood that remains a little sketchy. and you can hear the roar of the interstate from the front porch.

   For 560,000 you get two concrete parking strips; the catch: a four inch granite curb still exists for the sidewalk. The builder did not seem interested in discussing the topic when I asked. Anyone this close to town should really be a new urbanist anyway and forego the car.

   A great example of how new construction can work if done right. But get this: Its pending and was listed for 562K. People want to be close in to town. There are some more condos coming too. One big one is actually going to be affordable! Demand is high, besides Lexington Station or Hiawasee, everything built or half built is sold.

   I guess you can tell I like talking about real estate.
