Gas prices suck
Yeah, we know. But WLOSers like to keep going with the “pain at the pump” stuff, so Jay Seltzer tells us that business at pawn shops is up because gas prices are so high. We’re not sure how Jay can make such an empirical leap, but there you have it. People are pawning their electronics and jewelry to put gas in the SUV.

Tuesday night, WLOSers said business people are passing along their burden to consumers. A florist is doing it. A delivery agency is doing. The city isn’t doing it, though – the chief financial guy, Ben Durant, said there won’t be any tax increase to pay for city gas, even though the city is budgeting an extra $400,000 next year to cover more expensive fuel.

We’re also wondering how the high gas prices has affected WLOSers, especially when it comes to doing live shots. Those giant SAT trucks guzzle fuel like there’s no tomorrow. Are WLOSers doing more “look lives” these days versus real live shots? Are they sending out the big truck less? Anybody?

Russ “Beefcake” Bowen told us Tuesday night that Master Rick, Dungeon Dan and their third wheel got evicted from the house near Waynesville they were renting. We can’t wait for WLOSers to bring us video of moving day, when all that cool dungeon stuff gets dragged out into the cold light of day. You remember these guys, right? They’re accused of performing castrations without malice (or a medical license.)

Carolyn makes them cry
Carolyn “Little Red” Ryan made family members who lost loved ones to murder cry on Tuesday while working on a story about murder victims and their surviving loved ones.

Tammy bungee-jumped
Tallahassee Tammy told us during happy talk that she did the Dollywood bungee jump, which was sort of small potatoes compared to the Tiger Woods bungee jump the other day. Tiger plunged 400 feet off a bridge in New Zealand.
