This morning, I spoke to a group of Asheville Realtors who deal with commercial real estate. I talked social media with them, then hung out to listen in on the rest of their meeting. I’m glad I did. These men and women are full of news and story tips. Here’s some of what I picked up. I tweeted it all over @ashevegas, if you want to follow me there:

Now for some of what I learned from a group of Asheville Realtors who deal in commercial real estate (CIRA)…

Green Man Brewing has leased new space for a brewing operation and distribution on Glendale Ave.

FLS Energy has leased a big space on Roberts Street in the River Arts District.

The building housing the Downtown Market on S. French Broad is still on the market for around $2 million

JoAnn Fabrics is moving into the space vacated by the old Books-a-Million on Tunnel Road.

There’s a new building going up next to Dancing Bear toy shop on Tunnel Road. It’s gonna be a Vitamin Shoppe.

A food packaging service is relocating from Florida to a space on Brevard Road.

Weaver Village in Weaverville is coming together. There’s a Zaxby’s and Goodwill there, or coming there, and other space available.

The DIY Woodworking shop on Patton Avenue and S. French Broad is leaving and the space is available for new tenant.

two new private schools are looking to open in Asheville and looking for space.
