gordon you ugly as white boy. skateboardin is like smoking the best ganja
Skateboarding is not a crime. Trespassing is. If you want to skate cool stuff then put some money together, buy some land, build whatever you want and change it when you get bored. You may find that is folks start trespassing in your space and defacing your stuff that you're not happier with that situation than everyone is. But hey- try it~
Gordon, please run for mayor!
Sorry not to be completely grumpy about the video…but I liked it. Some legit seeming tricks and the song is dope. Anyone know what it is?
@Gordon Smith-Skateboard Commuters my ass. They need to get a bicycle and stay the hell off the sidewalks. Seriously dude, you can't accomodate everybody and maintain a safe and efficient flow of traffic downtown.
Asheville doesn't hate you. Quit being a bunch of cry babies. What Asheville does hate is that you skateboard on city sidewalks and on private and public property with a total disregard for the safety of others, and a lack of respect for property. Asheville (taxpayers) don't want to get sued by your mommies and daddies when you crush your little skulls with your acrobatics. None of you knuckleheads are even wearing helmets in the video. And don't tell me that this is BS. I've watched it a hundred times from my downtown office. Nobody gives skaters a bad name except skaters!
Stay in the controlled environment of a skate park where at least you're not going to hurt an innocent bystander, and they at least have some regard for common sense and safety equipment.
There was a "Four Wheels Down" proposal that was supposed to come before the Public Safety Committee, and I'm not sure what happened to it. I've just emailed Bill Russell to ask more.
For recreational riders, I urge you to hit the skate park and not the downtown public hardscape. For skateboard commuters, I think it's only equitable that there be a legal way to ride downtown.
That fishbowl effect is awful.
Says "Late 2011"….does that mean this is a preview of more to come?
