Very cool. Check it out. Ben Sollee’s performance last night at the Lexington Avenue Brewery killed. Don’t miss this chance to see him. From loyal reader Leigh Anne:

Hey Jason. Hope all is well with you…

Kind of last minute, but just wanted to let you know that Ben Sollee is gonna play at the shop tonight.

Here is the description from the facebook event listing:

In conjunction with the May 10th release of the new album, Inclusions, and the busy year of touring along with it, Ben Sollee is making an effort to engage local artisans, craftsmakers, and communities to bring meaningful items to the merch table. Within this line of MERCH THAT MATTERS he’ll be including handmade goods including handmade bike bells, handpressed paper goods, hand painted bags and more.

This Friday April 15th, we’ll be throwing a community event at the amazing space that is The DryGoods Shop in West Asheville. The event will include a free lino cutting/block printing class and we’ll be making postcard prints to be part of a special packaging with the CD. We’ll have snacks and refreshments, Ben will be on hand to play you a few lovely tunes, and we’ll be able to send you home with some of the lino cutting tools.

Come out and help us support Ben!

PLease arrive at 6 for the block printing class.

Party goes from 6-8pm.
