Trent Tomlinson is breaking on the country music scene with a catchy new tune I heard on my way home from work tonight, “Drunker Than Me.” It’s all about a dude who can’t date a woman who gets drunker than him because he doesn’t want to take care of her. Totally! She should be taking care of me.

This guy has been working the Nashville scene for a few years, and it looks like he’s starting to break through with the release of his new album. There hasn’t been much press out there about him, so give his record a listen and tell us what you think. The next big thing? The male version of Gretchen Wilson?

The guy looks like younger version of Silvio Dante, Tony Soprano’s consigliare, aka Steven Van Zandt, even down to the skullcap. Uglier than sin, in other words. But hey, the tune is cool, so we’ll give him a chance.
