Mountain Xpress: Yolo yogurt lounge coming to Merrimon Avenue in north Asheville

Mountain Xpress‘ Mackensy Lunsford reports:

And finally, a yogurt place called Yolo is opening on Merrimon Avenue in the space that the Hop used to occupy. I know, I know, who gets excited about yogurt? Certainly not me, until I checked out the Facebook page of another location in California.

So what’s so cool about it? It’s all self-serve, with flavors like raspberry-pomegranate and lavender. There’s also a bar full of a variety of toppings, like berries and other fruits as well as nuts and other healthy things.

Ricky, the cigar shop up the street along Merrimon was considering moving to the old Hop, but (obviously) decided not to.
