From Fangoria.com:

ActionFest, the only international film festival devoted to action fare, is returning to Carolina Cinema in Asheville, NC Thursday-Sunday, April 7-10. Among the offerings will be the eagerly awaited indie bloodbaths HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN (pictured left) and SUPER.

ActionFest 2 will not only showcase screen mayhem from around the globe, but also pay tribute to stuntmen and fight choreographers, presenting a Stunt Show Extravaganza that will take place Sunday the 10th at 2 p.m. in the Carolina Cinema parking lot. Kicking off the festival is the world premiere of Jonathan English’s violent medieval drama IRONCLAD (pictured below), starring Paul Giamatti, James Purefoy, Kate Mara, Derek Jacobi, Brian Cox and Jason Flemyng. Other confirmed titles include Jason Eisener’s HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN, the Sundance sensation starring Rutger Hauer; SUPER, the Rainn Wilson-starring vigilante film from SLiTHER’s James Gunn; LITTLE BIG SOLDIER, starring Jackie Chan; BANGKOK KNOCKOUT, from the makers of ONG BAK; Takeshi Kitano’s OUTRAGE; BUNRAKU, a fist-and-sword epic with Ron Perlman; and MACHETE MAIDENS UNLEASHED!, the history of Filipino exploitation fare by NOT QUITE HOLLYWOOD’s Mark Hartley. The full lineup will be announced Monday, March 22, including a competition section juried by genre experts from around the country.

ActionFest 2 will also honor Robert Rodriguez’s MACHETE as Action Film of the Year (and award Russell Towery as Stunt Coordinator of the Year for his work on the film), and bestow stuntman Buddy Joe Hooker with the Actionfest Lifetime Achievement Award (won last year by Chuck Norris). The event will also pay tribute to the 40th anniversary of Stunts Unlimited, an elite organization comprised of Hollywood’s A-list stunt performers.
