The Blue Ribbon Healers will be playing three Asheville dates in May. Check ’em out April 1 at the Root Bar; April 2 at the French Broad Brewery; and April 3 at the French Broad Chocolate Lounge.

The Blue Ribbon Healers, with a thrashed-out old timey jazz and swanky tonk sound, keep their show on the road and perform it hot and lively. Whether stripped down to duo or decked out in full rhythm section finery, this outfit comes complete with tight arrangements that swing and bounce in a variety of styles. Rob and Cindy spent the first year of their musical career together in and around the Gulf Coast, working with close friends and musicians to make a splash in the local honky tonk scene with their own brand of thrashed out swanky tonk. For the past six months the couple have been traveling across the country playing in saloons, raucous dives, bohemian cafes, doorways and street corners (as pictured in the February issue of Southern Living, p. 26), in theatres and on towering festival stages.
