2 things:
I have never understood those homebrewer's that thumb their nose at other homebrewers that like to enter competitions and give their beer away. It is ok to want to get feedback and recognition for a craft which is as much a hobby than a selfish desire.
I am brewing for that weekend with some friends to enjoy the day and appreciate any and all feedback. I don't mind sharing with my friends.
2nd…. I am pretty sure this festival is in conjunction with the craft fair, don't people read up on things first? Before they go all snarky?
2 things:
As a homebrewer I have never understood the concept of buying, brewing, aging & kegging a batch just to give it away to impress strangers. If I go to all that work and trouble, I'm going to enjoy it with a handful of invited friends. I am brewing for that weekend as are some of my brewing pals. We'll be enjoying our beer with invited tasters at the 14th annual French Broad River Festival on that weekend. Do people who plan these things not own calendars?
2nd.. isn't there an all-day craft fair at Pack Square Park on May 1?
