More here:

Each summer an extraordinary community is reborn at the Asheville Jewish Community Center. It sparks to life amid spontaneous laughter, collective support, Jewish wisdom, and individual accomplishments. It seamlessly integrates new faces and old friends and turns every day into an adventure. For eight amazing weeks, it is a shining example of how good a community can be. This is Camp Ruach.

Camp Ruach (that means “spirit”) welcomes all rising 1st through 8th graders for a traditional—yet extraordinary—day camp experience focused on building lifelong friendships and enjoying a summer full of fun.

Throughout the summer, campers engage in activities such as team and individual sports, cooking, crafts, archery, guided nature expeditions, gardening, overnights (complete with poolside s’mores and sing-alongs), Israeli dance, music, and free swim. All Camp Ruach campers receive regularly scheduled lessons from our WSI-certified instructors.
