Hello. And Bye.
Former Ashevillian – you are correct. I’ll give credit where credit is due. But it’s so much more fun to give them shit when they miss it…
Weaverville Woman – Thanks for the suggestions! We’ll see you there.
i’m glad you enjoyed your first visit to well-bred. did you take home a loaf of freshly baked bread? the cranberry/walnut on thursday is smooth as butta.
we have many other sites in weaverville for you to discover, too. go to blue mountain pizza in the evening and have a yummy pizza and listen to live local music!
drive out any evening (except monday) or ride the bus! you’ll find a surprise every night of the week! except monday, our wonderful restaurants, including stoney knob, close on monday.
if you love the music of apalachia (and who doesn’t?), they play often on friday nights at well-bred, and doc is always there for that.
hope to meet you soon!
I enjoy reading your blog, especially keeping up with WLOS. But I do have one question: you always pick on the weather staff for missing forecasts. How about giving them some credit when they get one right (i.e. the ice storm)? Just wondering…..
You’re welcome. Meeting the two came as a happy little surprise during my afternoon – a pre-Christmas treat. I need to e-mail him some of these photos.
I stopped at Well-Bred after the ride and was well impressed by their operation. It’s the first time I’d been in there. What a great little shop. I hope you’re doing your fair share in keeping them in business.
You guys got it goin’ on. Of course, I’ve known that for a long time, as a proud Black Hawk and all…
thanks for the blog on doc and harmony!
i see him in well-bred on his laptop all the time. and i’ve followed the two of them as they traversed merrimon. they’re good about pulling off the road and letting the new-fangled buggies go by.
Nice. Got personality.
