WNC Naturally

WNC is the true source of some of the world’s most popular medicinal herbs, which is one reason why many are predicting the natural products industry to boost WNC’s economy in the coming years. This gathering is being held in part to help usher the natural products industry into WNC and to give businesses a chance to learn more about natural product opportunities. 

Reception (included in the price of registration) catered by Asheville’s celebrated chef, Michael Gentry, whose passion for food, farming, and foraging will be a gastronomical treat.

    Speaking of the natural products industry, please check out this news about the Natural Products Manufacturing Facility opening Oct 18 at Blue Ridge Food Ventures on the AB Tech Enka campus. It is the first shared-use facility in the country for entrepreneurs who wish to produce, bottle, seal and label natural products, including medicinal herbs and dietary supplements, in capsules, tinctures, extracts and creams. The facility will meet new federal Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines that went into affect in June (even a one-person business must follow these new regulations). Reception and tour on Oct 18, 3-4pm. More info here:
