Show our local chocolate company some love! French Broad Chocolates is a nominee in the Food Category of the 2013 Martha Stewart American Made Contest. This contest spotlights the maker, supports the local, and celebrates the handmade. The winners are determined by your votes. Public Voting for category winners began on Monday, August 26 and will end at 11:59:59 p.m. on Sept. 13. Residents of the U.S. can vote a total of six times per 24 hour period. Category winners will be announced on September 16. Category winners will have the opportunity to win the public’s vote for the Grand Prize: $10,000 in cash and a photo shoot for Martha Stewart Living. French Broad Chocolates, a conscientous craft chocolate maker, has been voted the Best Chocolate in WNC for four years running. Asheville’s favorite truffles, caramels, and bean-to-bar chocolates are made by happy people, featuring wholesome ingredients, sourced with care. “We are grateful for the opportunity to be recognized on a national level after nearly six years of tremendous local support and love,” says co-owner, Jael Rattigan. “To be awarded would be a huge honor.” To vote for French Broad Chocolates, go here.
