Burgerworx, located in the Grove Arcade, will host a burger eating contest, September 14 2012 at 7:00pm. The restaurant will host the “Burgerworx Burger Bender Contest” for 10 registered participants. The winner will receive a $500 cash prize and contestants will be awarded a $10 gift certificate for participating.
“We are very excited to host such a fun event,” said Melissa Lausch, owner/manager at Burgerworx. “Eating contests are a great way to get to know our customers and fans. We hope everyone will come by and root for their favorite competitor.”
To participate, individuals must be 18 or older and must register in person at Burgerworx before the event. There is a $10 registration fee. Contestants will have 10 minutes to eat as many cheeseburgers as they can. The burgers will feature ketchup, mustard, pickles and cheese. The winner will be decided by Lausch.

that’s disgusting.
I can eat 0 (zero) cheeseburgers in 10 minutes. Cheeseburgers are pretty much disgusting and sometimes contain growth hormones and mad cow. You wouldn’t even know you got sick for years and years to come.
Actually Burgerworx is proud to use Meyer Natural Beef. Meyer has the best cattle from the best Angus genetics. Their cattle are raised slowly and humanely on an all-vegetarian diet. They never use antibiotics or added hormones.
Just keep eating your tempeh because there’s nothing at all disgusting about rotten soy beans and lord knows nobody around here ever gets sick from it.
