Here’s what i saw from WLOSers on Friday:
Woodfield Inn employees upset
Pat Simon went after the Woodfield Inn down in Henderson County for not paying its employees.
Pat knocked on the owners’ door, then called the owner from the street, all to find out why employees said they hadn’t been paid for about a month. The owner said he was only a week behind, and that everybody would get paid. The owner’s company filed for bankruptcy back in August, Pat said. That was about it. O, the employees are going to file a grievance somewhere.

WLOSer Terrie Foster says we’re paying more for produce. She went down to the WNC Farmer’s Market and talked to one seller who said yes, he’s charging a little more, mostly because of higher gas prices. Foster said California wildfires raised produce prices (not sure why) and a Florida freeze triggered an increase in price for fruits. In the end, that means about $1 more for half a peck of apples, Terrie said.
