GameDinner is a local web site we just discovered that is devoted to educating people about where, exactly, their food comes from:
Taking wild game meats from the field and stream to the main stream by educating people that our Wildlife Resources are a renewable natural resource, and legal and ethical harvesting of those resources ends, in part, with consumption.
Founder Joe Lasher says:
… in our opinion, when you harvest that food on your own, it makes that appreciation even greater. This website is dedicated to all of you that live the outdoor lifestyle and understand that our wildlife resources are a renewable natural resource that should be protected through conservation efforts that include selective harvest. And, most importantly, we realize that legal and ethical harvesting of our wildlife resources must end with consumption. Bon Apetite!
GameDinner is holding a “Big Game and Beer” tasting on Jan. 24. Go to the web site to check it out.
