Sign up now for your 15 minutes experiencing virtual reality in downtown Asheville’s Collider with our featured GritVegas event of the week, Theater Thursdays. Experience cutting-edge technology in your immersive session. Better Than Unicorns is currently pairing with the Collider to show “Melting Ice,” a VR accompaniment to the upcoming Inconvenient Truth sequel, which will premiere at Asheville’s Fine Arts Theatre on August 3 in a benefit evening for the Collider.
Tina & Her Pony @ Pritchard Park Singer/Songwriter Series
6-8 pm
Catch free music from Pritchard Park from this local duo, who will sing and play cello, ukelele, and guitar in the park as part of this initiative to “activate a hub of downtown.”
9:30 – midnight
The nearly tasteless drag show is back at the Odditorium, and you’re invited. The evening promises “2 hours full of drag, drinks, and FILTH.” What’s not to love?
Friday, 7/14
Between Two Worlds: The New Works of Peter Parpan @ Satellite Gallery
Opening reception 7 pm
Asheville artist Peter Parpan debuts new paintings, sculpture, and functional objects awash in color and character, revealing the truths in experiences of hardship, transcendence, and sustaining power.
Improv with the Reasonably Priced Babies @ the Altamont Theatre

Supatight EP Release @ Asheville Music Hall

One of the most energetic, fun acts in Asheville, Supatight’s sound hearkens back to the sunny sixties and seventies while looking ahead through instrumental innovation. Come out and celebrate the release of puree, their five-song EP.

Meowga: Yoga with Cats @ Asheville Humane Society

Urban Gypsy Trunk Show @ Mason Muffler Service
