Thursday
Neil in the Afternoon Presents “Math + Poetry = Oulipo” at Pack Memorial Library,
12:30-1:30 pm: UNCA professor Patrick Bahls livens up the luncheon hour with this free event, in which participants will create Oulipian works of art through constrained writing techniques that will result in creative output to take home. “Oulipo” is short for the French “Ouvroir de littérature potentielle,” which translates roughly into “workshop of potential literature.”

Friday

The Dirty Dead River Jam, French Broad Outfitters at Hominy Creek, 8:30 p.m.

RiverLink’s RiverMuisc, Salvage Station, 5 p.m.: The evening show features SUSTOBanditos and Tall Tall Trees. A shuttle will run from the parking lot at the Asheville Chamber (36 Montford Ave) down to Salvage Station and will run about every 15 minutes.

In case y’all didn’t know, there is a monthly series of Harry Potter raves happening at New Mountain. Dress up in your wizarding world finest and come out to dance the night away!
