Stu Helm, Asheville’s Facebook Food Critic: Nightbell transforming to full-service restaurant menu

Lookit Stu Helm, all breakin’ news and shit. Here’s Stu on Facebook:

So, you can tell from the pictures, that Dawn and I went to Nightbell recently. It was frickin’ amazing, and I’ll write a full review of it soon for Ashvegas, but in the meantime, check this out:

Chef Katie Button sat down with us between the savories and sweets and told us that soon — this summer — Nightbell will be transforming from it’s current bar/lounge/bites menu and hours, to a full service restaurant, with full-on entrees and such!

She said the stuff that’s currently on the menu will remain, but more things will be added. She told us that she’s having a lot of fun with the food at Nightbell, and she was really excited about the switch to full menu fine dining.

Dawn and I were pretty fucking excited about that too!!!
We had a fantastic time at Nightbell, Katie is a super-nice person, as is all of her staff! We can’t wait to go back for bites, and for full-on dinner soon!

Katie clarifies via Twitter:

Just to clarify, it won’t be fine dining. But a modern interpretation of traditional American food served small-plate style 😉

Stu also posted this press release, from Michel, the owner of Bouchon/Creperie Bouchon:

Executive Chef Tres Hundertmark has joined the Bouchon/Creperie Bouchon team.

After establishing The Lobster Trap on Patton Ave., Tres left his longtime Asheville home for new adventures in cooking, from
Nantucket to New Orleans. We’re delighted to have him come home to us.

Come in and try a new dish or two by Tres on our summer menus!

A bientôt —Michel

Can’t be a food critic and hobnob with celeb chefs, I think it’s a rule.

Disagree. The ability to discriminate the person from the work is a sign of maturity.

Took a friend there last night for the first time, very nice place. I appreciate a classy, sophisticated atmosphere in a relaxing, sexy setting. The Seven Seas cocktail was excellent and the hush puppies were good.
