Meantime, loyal reader Chris has a question about the shop’s sign:
I thought the sign ordinance in the central business district prohibited backlit signs this large. The U.S. Cellular Center and HomeTrust Bank are two nearby buildings with similar signs, but I believe they requested special permission. I don’t recall hearing anything about this shop, much less discussion about its sign. Maybe you know a bit more about the sign ordinance in downtown and backlit signs visible from I-240?

After being disappointed with ashevilles other smoke shops due to the overall high prices and lack of selection i was skeptical of this new shop but when i walked into smoke rings i couldnt believe what i was seeing. As far as range of products and quality of products, this smoke shop is the real deal. It specializes mainly in high-end water pipes and they have some incredible pipes and some even better deals on them. I got a water pipe there for 110 that would have easily been over 300 anywhere else. In my opinion, don’t waste your time and money on any other shop.
