Shelter Collective to host holiday pop-up shop; also, Grace & Glory and Hazel Twenty hold sale

Here are two cool holiday shopping options for you to get down on your calendar. Check this:

First up, Shelter Collective design studio will host is second annual pop-up shop at the Center for Craft, Creativity & Design in downtown Asheville from 6-10 p.m. on Dec. 11 and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Dec. 12 and 13. Work (think woodwork, apothecary goods, handbags, jewelry, glassware, paper goods, and more) will be available for purchase from more than 30 designers and creatives from the Asheville area and beyond. There will be light refreshments and music on the opening night. From the press release:

“We are so pleased to be hosting this holiday pop up at the Center for Craft, Creativity & Design,” says SHELTER COLLECTIVE founder and designer Karie Reinertson. “Our goal is to promote conversation and support a culture around art, craft, design, and curation here in Appalachia and the U.S.”

SHELTER COLLECTIVE is a design studio located in West Asheville at 7 Brevard Road. SHELTER COLLECTIVE’s interests lie at the intersection of design, art, and craft. Rob Maddox is a designer and builder currently focusing on contemporary new-build residential and experimental buildings. Karie Reinertson is a designer and makes handbags under the name SHELTER. Both Maddox and Reinertson work together to create thoughtful, beautiful, and effective spaces and products for their clients. For this event, they will be designing and building a small structure and all of the display furniture to showcase the makers’ work.

Second, Grace & Glory and Hazel Twenty will host an event called the Winter Wonder Sale on Dec. 6 and 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Grace and Glory warehouse, 405 Elk Park Drive in Asheville. From the press release:

Grace & Glory will be showcasing a full-line of products, as well as a huge selection of SAMPLE items at unbeatable prices. Hazel Twenty, a cutting-edge mobile boutique, takes pride in carrying a wide array of clothing options to suit all budgets and will be having a special premium denim sale for this event.

Grace & Glory Goods is based in the Asheville area and will be opening it’s warehouse doors to house this wonderful event.
