The Asheville Affiliates are partnering with Asheville GreenWorks to host the first annual “Root Ball”, a fundraising event to support Asheville GreenWorks. The party will be held Thursday August 15, 2013, from 6:30-9:30pm as a special preview of the brand-new Asheville GreenWorks Boat House located in the River Arts District along the French Broad River at 318 Riverside Drive.
The event will be an end-of-summer ball, with a nod to GreenWorks’ passion for getting dirty for a good cause. Live music will be performed by Lyric.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. The entry includes unlimited food and drink: beer from Catawba Brewing, wine provided by Skyland Distributing, moonshine from Carolina Distillery, and food prepared by Mark Rosenstein and Green Opportunities’ Kitchen Ready program. In addition, there will be a raffle with great prizes to raise additional money for Greenworks.
