Oxford American’s list of “new superstars of Southern art” includes several Asheville artists. Here’s who was included:
-Larkin Ford, described as someone who “can draw anything with a beautiful authority that cannot be taught.”
-Kreh Mellick, described as an artist who “balances delicately rendered pen-and-ink figures with crisp, bold strokes of red gouache, all set in a landscape void of detail.”
-Lisa Klakulak also got a mention, but no description.
-Boone artist Peter Glenn Oakley also got a mention.

Brilliant to see Larkin getting recognition. A gentleman and a scholar and an amazing talent! Would also love to see Brian Mashburn, Ted Harper and Galen Frost Bernard getting a shout out.
Gabriel Shaffer, Alli Good and Taiyo La Paix are also equally worth mentioning..
