From WCQS.org:
WCQS recently hired Duncan McFadyen a full-time local Morning Edition host and reporter. McFadyen will help WCQS expand its local news content. In fact, both WCQS News Director David Hurand and Duncan McFadyen will produce reports for both morning and afternoon drive times.
According to Hurand “The WCQS News Department is embarking on a new phase of its development. We want to provide information for our listeners that enables them to understand our world and life here in Western North Carolina.”
In the meanwhile, we thought you’d like to know a little bit more about new voice Western North Carolina now wakes up to. McFadyen was born and raised in Wilmington, NC, where he started his on-air career in high school as one of the hosts of the school system’s student-produced television show. He continued his education at Duke, but changed course midstream to study journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill.
A reformed Dookie. Good man. Good luck to Duncan.

He's cute in that pic. Too bad we don't have a single good looking person on WLOS.
