I’ve found On Haywood map of West Asheville to be a good resource, especially when friends or family are visiting from out of town: http://onhaywood.com

Hope the new, downtown one is as cool!

How many free maps does AVL need … there are several already.

You are correct, there are other maps. However, none focus on downtown Asheville and include only local businesses. Downtown Asheville Map & Guide also features articles, an events calender and a business directory. As in any city that has a strong tourism industry, there are bound to be a variety of maps. We just adding to the mix of options, which is always beneficial to visitors.
