Supper clubs are enjoying a renaissance in Asheville. The Blind Pig Supper Club has been a runaway success. Look for a story about supper clubs in the Asheville Citizen-Times.
Meantime, here are a few details about a new supper club coming on the scene, The Altamont Supper Club. It will be the work of Geoff Ferland, who does accounting and payroll work for restaurants, and Zika Singogo, the head chef at The One Stop.
The two say their idea is to highlight historical nature of family farming in Western North Carolina, with an eye toward the future and sustainability. They’re all about plant-to-plate.
There are no details yet on the cost of tickets. The first event is scheduled for late summer/early fall.
