Press release here:

The TreeHouse Lounge at the DoubleTree Biltmore Hotel in Asheville, N.C. will be partnering with Troy and Sons Distillery for Moonshine Madness, an evening of stills and southern spreads. The event will take place on Thursday, June 28 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the ballroom and outdoor terrace of the DoubleTree Biltmore Hotel, and will feature Troy and Sons Moonshine, paired with DoubleTree Catering cuisine and live bluegrass music.

Charlie Ball, master distiller at Troy and Sons, along with members of his staff, will be in attendance to showcase their product and discuss the evolution of moonshine. They will also be serving samples of their new Oak Reserve, not yet available on the market. DoubleTree executive chef Dan Moore will be creating four signature Troy and Sons moonshine cocktails, each complimented by a southern fare menu using local products, including Crooked Creek Corn which is used to make each batch of Troy and Sons Moonshine.

Thursday’s event marks the second hosted by The TreeHouse Lounge at the DoubleTree, a new unique social concept sprouted from conversations amongst the hotel operations, marketing and catering teams. The highly successful Biltmore Village Fashion Show was held in March and brought together the Shops at Biltmore Village to highlight spring fashion trends, along with DoubleTree Catering cuisine.

“The TreeHouse Lounge gives us an opportunity to showcase our beautiful property and exceptional culinary offerings, while partnering with local businesses to put on unique events open to the public,” stated DoubleTree General Manager Robert Foster. “Partnering with Troy and Sons for Moonshine Madness is allowing us to do just that and will hopefully lead to a lasting relationship that will benefit our hotel guests and the local community.”

Attendees of the event will be entered into a drawing for various prizes including a private tour by the master distiller for 10 at Troy and Sons Distillery and a weekend stay with private chef’s dinner at the DoubleTree Biltmore.

Tickets are $20 in advance and can be purchased at the DoubleTree front desk or at Troy and Sons Distillery, and will be available at the door for $25.
