Google Earth recently unveiled Google Ocean, and it’s rather remarkable. The Google folks didn’t actually dive underwater to map and photograph the seas, but they did pull together some remarkable resources to allow visitors to view the ocean floor’s topography and digitally navigate and explore. It’s incredible.
In terms of Australia and the Great Barrier Reef, Google Ocean is a remarkable innovation that only serves to promote the area to a public who might not otherwise have the chance to swim among the reef’s fish and coral.
Check out Google Ocean when you get the chance.
