The Asheville Area Arts Council & The Altamont are proud to present Tangerine Tango: An Evening of Fashion & Dance on Thursday, August 23 from 6-10 p.m. The evening will be produced by Laila Boggs.
A variety of local designers and retail shops will be showcased at this event, which serves as a kick-off for the Asheville Area Arts Council’s Tangerine Ball. This event serves as an opportunity for local designers to showcase their wares and have an opportunity to not only sell their work but get commissions for gowns & costumes for the BIG party for the night of the September 15th!
The lovely & talented Sonia Hendrix from Push Productions is the official Tangerine Ball MC. A live runway show will take place outside the Altamont Theatre on Church St. and will feature many local designers, including Luna la Noir Designs by Lindsay Hoyes, Liz White Couture, Chapeaux by Simone, Unabashed Apparel by Sarahbeth Larrimore, Joanne Chan, Amy Vs. Fabric, Lush Life Originals by Alexis Gault, Soul Fresh by Shannon Covart, and many more. The Honeypot, The Costume Shoppe, Royal Peasantry, Union Boutique, The Circle and Hip Thrift are among the retailers for the fashion event.
Taking the stage at the Altamont Theater will be a variety of local dance performances. Blue Spiral Tango and Asheville Ballet are both involved with providing talent for the evening.
A panel of distinguished judges will select best of show designers to be featured and interviewed on the Tangerine Ball’s main stage on September 15th. This is a fashion event not to be missed. VIP seating for this event is only $25, and includes a fabulous swag bag with tangerine themed gifts from Clinique, Dillards and local merchants, as well as two free glasses of champagne!
