THE MAGNETIC THEATRE HOLDS AUDIENCE FOR WORLD PREMIERE OF MILF: THE MUSICAL
Announcing open auditions for MILF: The Musical, a new comedic musical, book/lyrics by Lucia Del Vecchio and music by Holiday Childress, directed by Steven Samuels, starring Tracey Johnston-Crum. Rehearsals begin July 30. Performances September 13-October 20. All performers paid.
Auditions at The Magnetic Field, 372 Depot Street, Asheville
Saturday, April 21, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
First come, first seen. Sign-up begins at 9:45.
Be prepared to sing 30 seconds/18 bars of a song.
Accompanist will be provided. Bring sheet music, please, plus a headshot and resume.
Character Descriptions- Casting for 6 roles, three men, three women.
Greg Flynn- Fortyish, academic distracted husband of Annie Flynn, lead of show. Can be of any range.
Lynette, Jeanette, Bernadette- Thirties, three initially seemingly interchangeable suburban helicopter mommies, judgmental, sing and often talk in unison. Alto and/or soprano.
Hank- High school senior, most popular, star quarterback, neighbor of the Flynns, All American privileged overconfident guy. Baritone.
Roland- Recent high school graduate, an artist and aspiring but bad poet, Roland is the typical outcast, picked on by Hank, he is kind, awkward, intelligent, earnest. Baritone/Tenor.
