Here’s some of what’s going around:
–James Franco was spotted at the contra dance on the campus of Warren Wilson College over the weekend. He was apparently having a high time, from all reports. Franco’s no stranger to the dance scene, and has been studying writing at the college’s highly regarding MFA program.
-Pastabilities, the long-running West Asheville restaurant that closed earlier this year on Haywood Road, is reportedly planning to open in the new shopping center coming together on Leicester Highway, across the street from the McDonald’s and Land-of-the-Sky offices.
–BurgerWorx has opened in the Grove Arcade. Haven’t been yet.
-The One Stop restaurant and bar in the new Asheville Music Hall – formerly Stella Blue – has opened. Stopped in there the other day and really love the vibe. Great artwork on the floor. Friendly people. Decent wings. Woody Wood is playing there tonight. Check it.
-A new food truck called the Lowdown has popped up on Broadway. The Mountain Xpress says its yummy.
–Onyx Orchard, the new cheese shop on Patton Avenue next to the pirate bar, is now open. Doesn’t look too exciting, I have to say. But I’ll give them a chance.

Proof-reading, Ashe. "new shopping center coming together on Leicester Highway, across" ? Also, the new Cookout on Patton is open, and the line inside and out looked hefty this evening.
