Julian Smith, the director of the popular Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston, S.C., is bringing this new Asheville Half Marathon to town on June 7. The race will start and end in downtown. It has a cap of 3,000 runners.
It’s great timing for the race. The Asheville Citizen-Times earlier this year canceled its long-running half-marathon and marathon earlier this year.

Wimbledon: that’s just mean… i think my 5 year old did a great job on that map
+5; except your 5-year-old’s version would be a welcome improvement…
it’s appallingly unprofessional (regardless of if it’s intentional or an oversight) and i’d be embarrassed to have my name attached to it. also, the price is way too high; i’ll pay that much for Shut-In and Mitchell because the logistics for trail runs is a whole different ballgame.
do the organizers need someone to make a proper map for them? because this is just embarrassing, especially considering the entry fee of $75 to $85.
