The YWCA’s Stand Against Racism 2010 is a partnership of 65 YWCA Associations throughout the country with the goal of bringing people together from all walks of life to raise awareness that racism still exists. Approximately 200,000 people are expected to take a Stand Against Racism on April 30, 2010.
The YWCA of Asheville is inviting organizations/businesses/group that believe in a society free of racism to join in taking a Stand Against Racism by becoming a Participating Site. Participating Sites of the Stand Against Racism will host “Stands” at their locations. Stands can be private or public. Becoming a Participating Site is very easy. The YWCA will provide all of the necessary tools to organize a Stand. There is no cost to participate. You must register to participate by April 23, 2010.
