Known for their off the wall live performances and dance floor heroics, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band has become one of the countries favorite up and coming touring acts, thanks in part to the buzz surrounding their sell-out shows and the success of their award winning and critically acclaimed debut studio album, “Now You Know” (independent release). The Booty Band will be appearing at The Orange Peel on Saturday November 20th.
This Asheville based six-piece funk monster exerts an undeniable energy – using funk as a foundation, the Booty Band weaves elements of hip-hop, reggae, ska and latin soul into the mix creating a musical entity that is entirely their own. With the addition of Lee Allen (drums) and Mary Frances (keys & vocals), of east coast favorite live electronica touring machine Eymarel (http://www.eymarel.com), Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band has jumped leaps and bounds musically.
