With new album under their belt, The Fritz to play Asheville Music Hall next month

The Fritz has been working hard since they moved from Florida to Asheville. Press release here:

Asheville-based band, The Fritz, offers you their new studio album, Bootstrap, which fuses rock and funk with high energy and passion. The Fritz has gained attention from a multitude of media and social outlets including RELIX Magazine, and have quickly gained momentum across the Southeast. The Fritz will be bringing their progressive-rock to Asheville Music Hall on Friday April 12th.

Originally a collaboration between guitarist, Jamie Hendrickson, and bassist, Jake O’Connor, The Fritz later added drummer Michael Tillis, and lead singer and keyboardist Jamar Woods adding a strong driving energy and soulful vocals to the ensemble. With the recent addition of percussionist Mike Evans, The Fritz has developed a full and a one-of-a-kind sound.

Moving over 400 miles north from Jacksonville, FL together has allowed the last year to be an opportunity of growth and exploration for The Fritz. Writing an array of new music (including additional sounds from Woods’ new Moog Little Phatty), purchasing a new van, and completing Bootstrap, The Fritz is eager to get feedback from the fans, who often drive the inspiration at live shows.

The show is set for 9 p.m. on April 12. Tickets are $8 in advance. Check Asheville Music Hall for details.

The artwork and photography for this album was created locally by Joshua Marc Levy and Amy Kalyn Sims, Asheville Art Family. The typography and illustration are hand-created, no font used. The full cover art features Asheville’s mountains and can be seen here with some photography which was shot locally at the WNC air museum: http://joshuamarclevy.com/blog/
