Leave a comment on this blog post and you’ll be entered to win a pair of general admission tickets to Session Fest at Zillicoah Beer Company in Woodfin on Aug. 24.
The “small beer” invitational goes from noon until 8 p.m. and will highlight session-style beers from a cast of skilled breweries. Zillicoah is Woodfin’s first craft brewery. Itspecializes in open-fermented ales and lagers. This year, Zillicoah Beer owners Jeremy Chassner, Johnathan Parks and Jonathan Chassner have invited a broad list of makers, focusing on breweries that inspired their own beer journey. The result is an array of brewers making rare and hard-to-get small lagers and ales not typically available to the Asheville craft beer enthusiast. Zillicoah is partnering with Asheville’s Buxton Hall BBQ to present whole-hog barbecue cooked on site. The riverside brewery also plans live music for the event. More info here on Session Fest.

Been meaning to check out Zillicoah!
Makes me thirsty just reading about it!
Maybe one of these days I’ll get to a beer fest. Why not one almost in my backyard?!
What you think about grows and I’m thinking about a tiny thimble-sized beer, hoping it grows into a pair of Session Fest tickets to Zillicoah where I can have a pint. Would love to go!
