Weaverville bustling with new business activity: Aldi, Dollar General, more

Share

Here are a few updates on all that’s going on in Weaverville, gleaned from the Weaverville Tribune and Our Weaverville.

From Weaverville Tribune:

-It’s CONFIRMED that ALDI USA is going to open an Aldi Food Market at Weaver Village in weaverville in February 2014

-$3 Gorilla Car Wash similar to the one on tunnel road and Airport Road is going to be constructed on Gill road across the street from Fender Tire behind HomeTrust Bank

From Our Weaverville:

-Dollar General at Woodland Hills is now open.

-Word on the street (well, technically, word in the Weaverville United Methodist Church newsletter) is that a Japanese restaurant will be coming to the old HomeTrust bank location on Main Street. Anybody have any further enlightenment on the matter?

Don’t forget about Allgood Coffee…possibly the best quality coffee in all of Ashelandia!

I thought that, too. I asked the owners of Wasabi a few weeks ago while my family was having dinner there, and they said that it was one of their chefs who is opening the new restaurant.

Actually I spoke with the Wasabi owners, it isn’t the same people. It is, however, a chef that used to work at Wasabi who is opening the place.

Supposedly (according to one guy I talked to), that Soba restaurant is owned by the Wasabi peeps (of Asheville).
